I always thought Tubs were 4 door Phaetons or Convertible Sedans... I dont get were the Cord or that Bentley would be called tubs ? no disrespect , but my friend has a Cord just like that and no once has referred to it as "TUB"..

 

You're right, some days I bend my own rules so I can look at some great cars. I've owned 3 Cords over the years, no Bentleys but that day I just wanted to see them. That little black roadster isn't a tub either. The Cord Convertibles with a back seat were called Phaetons by their manufacturer JW

This one could have been my first tub, same, Shaved hood, 40 Headlight rims, 16 in ripples, Desoto Bumpers,skirts, Rounded cabrolet rear windows. Bought it from the Ford Store in San Diego Ca. Did this one make it to San Diego? Could be it?
