if near Sacramento, CA be sure to go to the Autorama at Cal Expo in Sacramento - one big building filled with Lowr iders of all types
The weather is getting good out here, and they are starting to come out of the woodwork. Soon every cruise night will look like a parade!
Are these really hamb approved? Were they around like this in 1965? I personally don't like them. overdone cars that serve no purpose. Hydraulics and running around on 3 wheels. I don't think they belong here.
Fastcar , You have to remember,,,,,these are considered customs ! Customs are welcome here,,,,,,many of them are top quality work,,,,,,and very expensive to build . Tommy
Rather insulting to this awesome community to say "serve no purpose." Clearly this thread is not for you . . . move along, these are not the cars you're looking for.
https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Hydraulics here’s a little history info. HAMB era? Yes HAMB approved? That’s up to the bosses. The 3wheel stuff? Well, ya might have a point on that one. That’s also up to the bosses. But stupid low stuff has been around several years before the cutoff here. Serve no purpose? I wouldn’t say that. They make me smile. Hydraulics? Seems they showed up before the cutoff.
Before 1985, there was no (?) 3 wheel`in. Lowrider Magazine distribution didn`t hit midwest till the late 80`s. Early 90`s. This is what you think lowriders are ?
What I like about these cars the most is,,,,the craftsmanship,,,,,,tons of hard work . The candy and metal flake,,,,,,,,and the extremely smooth body panels . But,,,,,the most is,,,,,,,,,Chrome that is so slick you didn’t know it could be that beautiful ! I’m not really into the hydraulics and that stuff,,,,,,it’s just not for me . But,,,,I admire the work,,,,and I know some people really like it . Tommy
Just guessing here, but I don't think they (the lowrider guys) really care what you think of them.....
