Hot Rods I just bought a La Dawri California

I love the glow of instrument lights.

 

A kit better than idiot lights!

 

My JC Whitney, or whatever they are, spinner hubcaps just got back from Speed and Sport Chroming in Houston. It wasn’t cheap, but chrome plating isn’t. The turnaround was rapid and they did a bang up job. I put on an early Corvette mirror that looks fantastic, I flipped over a driver’s side one so that the set screw is on the bottom. I gotta find a passenger side one without a bow tie logo.

Visually I think this thing is done, I think a pair of chrome pipes sneaking out the back would be rad.

I’ll probably repaint it a color other than red, we’ll see what my wife Anna wants.

 

I hope my hand made turn signal pods don’t look too much like teeth, ha ha.

Chrome shop did a great job on those caps, I've got a couple of those except with 6 of the teeth instead of 3. Mine look like the original chrome was pretty weak, yours look better than when they were new I'd bet. The mirrors are a good fit too.

 

I think they were unused but the quality of the plating was not good much like all these old
aftermarket accessories.

 

Those are cool, they looked about like mine look now. Interesting that the fins are open on the wide end, as if they were sourced from something else. Did they come with the car?

 

This just gets cooler.

Same here, I didn’t like it at first but I like the way it’s looking. The paint has some flaws but will be an easy redo.

Yes, I got lucky…I have the correct hardtop and also the half fiberglass / half clear bubble plexiglass removable door window inserts…

I need a windshield, I need to find out what year and model Vauxhall windshield will fit…

 

Maybe this was asked and I missed it but what kind of room is inside these things? They look cool as hell but like many cool looking cars are they mostly made for smaller guys? Nads what size are you for reference?

 

I’m 5’9” and I’m a tight fit in the driver’s side. I’ve driven smaller cars but anyone over 6’ tall would be really uncomfortable.

Yes, it is a Sebring…Henry J chassis which I need to shorten to fit the body…
