Totally makes more sense as a complete car... I just think the front is a little garish while the rear end is just so sculpted and simple.
while the front and rear treatments seem similar, you can certainly tell they were done by different people......
The color I see in those pics is not the colour I saw. Like I said the colour was a light silver green. Lippy
I grew up 28 miles from Greensburg and I ran that hiway a lot going to wichita, I lived in Kinsley. The car was not there very long, But I saw it and thought what a different rear treatment. And at that time, it was not that green in the pictures. Lippy
But at the time I don't remember the tail lights like that either. May just be my mind. I thought the rear was smooth. That was long ago . Lippy
I always go back and read feature threads that day after to sort of judge the success... This is the perfect thread. Opinions given. Questions answered. History learned.
What a cool car. In the dark colour pics the front end first seemed ugly, but the more I look at those Magazine pics the more I like it. They transformed the old early 50s Chevy into a futuristic 60s Sci-Fi design. It flows.
That's a refreshing rear treatment, not so much the front. Now what happens with a light section of 2 inches, followed with a 3 inch chop with a split rear screen. Maybe a 57 corvette inspired front end treatment. A lot of potential there.
Well....that front is a bit over the top but then typical of some radical treatments daring to be different, if ever this car resurfaced & granted it would be a sin to alter custom car history, however that front clip could carefully be set aside & do a front to one's liking...don't shoot me down I did use the word carefully to assure it could easily return as it were...
