I have not been on the HAMB for awhile but this run deserves some coverage. With COVID the last time this was officially on was 2019 so everyone was hanging out after 3 years .Lots of new cars debuted and it was the biggest numbers ever I believe. Over 400 cars. Normally on the Saturday we go into town and display the cars but it was too big this year for that so the show n shine was held in an adjacent park and still only a 5-10 minute walk to town for food and shopping. This event is popular as it covers later models up to mid 60's and a few later year models. I still have to download photos but will start with this teaser. This 33 coupe buiult by Jon Bridge was only finished the previous weekend, registered on Tuesday and down to the event Wednesday. Absolutely beautiful, simple car with an FE motor bored out to 427ci. Took out Top 10,Top Rookie(new car at the event) and Memorial Trophy for Best Hot Rod. More photos coming later
Next time someone moans about not being able to build hot rods in Australia.... I hope to see that in the flesh soon!
Beautiful. Ya don’t see many FE engines in hot rods , why, this one’s perfect. Fair ol set back though.
Well I am back.Had a big hassle with photos and downloading from phone. Here are some with a lot to still get from the phone later.
Thank You Mister Hudson. That was a sweet gathering of some beautiful cars on a perfect day. I love your sky
Thanks so much for posting all the pics. So many awesome rides. Yamba is on my bucket list to get to as well as Bright in Victoria. Unemployed at the moment and fuel prices are a killer, so I may have a bit of wait time ahead of me. Until then your photos put a smile on my face. Thanks again..
Do you guys in Oz still use the term, "fair dinkum"? I think it's appropriate here. Would have loved to be there but the pics look a close second. Thanks.
I use it. Normally in place of 'truly?' if I'm told about something surprising or out of order. Other person: "Blah, blah, blah..." Me: "Really? Is that bullshit or fair dinkum?" Other person: "No, fair dinkum, the guy really did put a deuce shell on the front of an F100."
