These exist elsewhere on these here pages, but you asked for blue cars...

This one runs, but is far from finished.

    upload_2022-11-13_7-31-10.jpeg

And, as you can see, under construction. Exhaust and wiring left to do (still!).

The only blue car I own is still a project but getting closer. Hoping to be doing more than carting it around on a trailer very soon.

    Hello,

One day my wife saw a cool Ford Falcon sitting in a driveway. We were looking at some houses and happen to turn on this street that had the Ford Falcon sitting in the driveway. Her sister was looking for a single story house that was for sale and it was near the Falcon.

A project or ??? The body looked to be in great shape and would be a very cool street car. It needed new wheels, like American Racing Equipment 5 spokes or some Halibrand Wheels instead of the chrome slots in place. YRMV

We drove by several weeks later to check out the single story house and it was sold. But, for some mystery, the Ford Falcon was also gone. So, it is either in the garage getting some upgrades or having a great time cruising around the OC coastal area. We are on the lookout for it as we drive the South Coast ocean/beach area on our pandemic drives.

    Hello,

My wife and I have been living in So Cal since we were little kids. We have adjusted well to the changes from those early days to the current pandemic environment. It is being able to adapt to any situation for our family. Since we are now surviving like most, the So Cal scene is still viable and the places we used to go for beach activities are still there.

Only, now, it is seen with older, wiser eyes and lots of memories. Station wagons have played a big part of our growing up years and family issues. So, when we saw a cool looking blue/white 56 Chevy station wagon near by the Amtrak Train Station and industrial tract in 2019, we had to take some photos and wonder about the owner.

In this portion of So Cal, the 56 Chevy surf wagons are still around and running daily. It has the classic look of a very clean station wagon with great looking American Racing Equipment 5 spokes. This 1956 Chevy Station Wagon would definitely look good in our small two car garage.

In my research, I found that the 1956 2 door post wagon belongs to this ex-firefighter and now custom surfboard shaper. What a combo. His finished wooden surfboards are outstanding and would also look good on a wall of our current house.

But, since the original sighting in early 2019, it has been mysteriously missing from the surf spots in and around the OC beaches. We also have not seen it cruising around the area where we first saw it parked. Either he is surfing a lot or making more fine historic wooden surfboards…

Then in the middle of Summer, 2022, we saw it parked in front of a dental office as we were going to the local bank and gas station.

69 Chevy Truck medium blue metallic on the 56. The 30 is Eastwood semi flat or Hotrod flatz in dark blue. I can’t recall exactly.

    Hello,

A nice Chevy hardtop sedan is always a classic. This one was nicely finished and reminded me of the old 4 door Chevy sedan we used to play in, as a toy playground. It was at our cousin’s house and we used it as a “driver’s” motion play structure. Little kids that could barely see out over the top of the dash sitting on cushions and barely reaching the pedals was a fun time.

We had no idea what the lever on the column was, but we did know our cousin’s mom moved it up down as we moved forward or backward. Many years later, we knew what the movement was and what it did. But, being inside the car at such a young age, it was just a stick that moved and we tried to look like a mom driving around.

This Chevy hardtop is a cruiser as my wife and I have seen it on different areas of the coastal community. We even took a photo on another day, but it was a chance photo. She saw it first and then I timed the hidden Chevy hardtop going by a big van blocking our continued viewing. So, by chance, this photo came out as an action photo.

It was one of those cool sedans that makes people think back to those cruising around years. YRMV
