My little Crosley doesn't have a cowl vent but has little side vent doors. Maybe 3-1/2 tall by 1-1/2 wide. I was impressed with the amount of air they funneled in, no screen, one Bee came in ass first and stung me in the leg/calf.

I have to admit I have never closed the one in my 34, even when I got caught in a shower since I forgot it was there and open until I noticed my feet were wet.

I just installed the one in my PU last night, plus the screen. It had to get an electric motor to make room for the AC.

On a nice Arizona evening when just cruising around, it's nice to have the vent open. Unfortunately, during the summer its sometimes like a blast furnace.

My '61 has one. Works great, 3 position with bug screen, as well as my '54 3100 Chevy..
