Technical Help Identify this Deck Lid Hinge

    Trying to identify this hinge that was installed on a 1932 Ford deck lid in the early 1950's.

  2. It looks beefy enough to have been a hood hinge.

    I don't know what it is, but I like it. Early 1950's? Interesting. Any chance we could see more of this car?
     
  6. Looks similar to a small early Toyota pu hood hinge. I've had a couple of pair.

    Thanks for the comments above. I believe these hinges were installed in the car sometime between 1950 and 1955 so trying to figure out what period make and year vehicle they would have originally been on (either as hood or trunk hinges or something else). The passenger side has a tab for but does not have the two piece strut like on driver's side.

    Look like a perfect fit/replacement for the bad original design. I'm curious too what they came from.

    Check out WWII trucks, some kid may have looking at them for 4 years and had a plan when he got home. Bob

    Here are a couple more photos of the hinges installed on 32 Ford decklid around 1950-52. Trying to identify what they were originally used on.

    My guess would be a early 50s Hudson hood hinge.
