Event Coverage 9TH ANNUAL OKLAHOMA HOT ROD HUNDRED PICS

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by guthriesmith, Oct 18, 2022.

  1. This event happened a few weeks ago now on September 24th, but I finally got my son to get all his pics off the camera so figured I would try to post the HAMB-friendly stuff that went along on the run. Anyway, we had right at 150 pre-73 cars along for the drive and had a good time overall driving the Oklahoma two lanes from Arcadia to Guthrie along a 120 mile drive (took the scenic route considering it's only about 20 miles the short way) to go see Nostalgia Sid's Dropped Axles where we had some good bbq. Anyway, if you are like some of us that like to drive, the CrossMembers Car Club hosts four of these each year around the country and more info about these reliability runs is here. www.hotrodhundred.com

Lucy and I have done all six of the Wisc HRH and enjoyed everyone of them. Been wanting to do this one in Ok. or the Ark. one but haven't been able to work it out. Maybe 2023? I bet they are all a good time. Looks like it by the pix anyway.

  7. Me too! That was my brothers car for several years and I came REAL close to buying it about a year ago when my brother decided to sell it But, it was hard for me to justify at the time. I sure wish I would have bought it. It was a real original paint survivor car out of Texas, but the new owner (a friend of mine) swapped out all the original stuff for stuff we don’t talk about here on the HAMB. :(

  8. Oh, and in the pics of people, I happen to be the goofball in the orange shirt standing on the back of the truck with the megaphone. :D

I haven't seen this one in a while. It was at the 1984 Merc/Deuce Reunion in Wichita!

  23. More like Silas was hiding. :D I told him we were getting close to the area he was at, but then all I saw was an Edsel parked by the road and no Silas. I guess he was up on the hill and a tree was obviously in the way to get the first car in line...mine.
