I didn't know the Ranchero and el Camino were part of this being they are first generation S.U.Vs. The 57-58 Ranchero and the 59-60 el Camino would be my picks.

 

I like most of them, especially the ones with dark fenders and bright bodies. I am not convinced about white walls on trucks.

What would have been a very tight style haג Studebaker done what it's Argentinian subsidiary did: design a proper bed for the Champ.

 

Obviously, the "Edselero".

 

My personal favorite truck design is the 58-60 F100... but because it's so ugly it's beautiful. That being said the 40 Ford pickup wins hands down.

Honored and humbled to be included in this list. All the trucks in this thread look damn fine to me.

 

'40 Ford in the closed cab variety, and '29 in the topless model. But I could be prejudiced.

 

I’m gonna say 1956 for all brands.

 

My '56 Dodge low bed side thinks so too! Wish it was a big back window (and finished) but you can't have everything.

 

30 s and 40 s trucks do it for me.late twenties to post ww2 had tradition and style and function

 

or a slightly more hamb friendly version...in case yours gets deleted due to those silly wheels/tires

 

I like the truck Timmys dad had in the show Lassie. It had some serious wheels.

 

Thanks, I was so busy looking at the truck, I missed the wheels/tires arrangement entirely. You're right, silly. Sorry, that didn't come off right, silly me.

 

I was always partial to the "Fridges" but when I bought my Uni I fell in love with that body. Not the best pickup by far as a truck but very pretty. IMO

 

Henry Ford perfected the automobile with the Model T and its all been downhill from there...

 

Well it's a 40 chevy, but outside of that I don't know anything about it either
