Our 34 Chev project down in New Zealand.

Rear tyres are 285/75/15 BFGs (30.7 inches tall). Guards got widened, and mysterious black magic stuff happened in the shed so we still have full suspension, and car sitting low and happy.

I was all over it at Bowling Green. I have a soft spot for '63s, and yours is BA!

Different roadster. Different stance. Same wheels. Works this time. They didn't on the '34. I'd forgotten about this thread, but it's ALIVE...;) C9D44877-3D55-4DE9-A7EF-5E4FE29C7AF2.jpeg 0CB75185-58F6-45C3-921F-B6F0F8878522.jpeg

don't even need to have a good paint job. Getting it to sit right with some nice whitewalls completes the look

The point is that a car can be built to the highest standards construction wise, parts wise, and expense, but it the wheels and stance are wrong, the car is wrong.

  20. AND, the correct wheel and stance is subjective, I think.

Great photos and examples of just about everything you can think of in this thread! I was surprised to find that it's a lot more difficult than one might think to take a picture that really shows the stance and the difference in size between front and back tires. This is my '30 Coupester, I like the way it sits, looks, and feels.

My '52 3800 sits right just the way it came from the factory.
