As I posted on another tribute thread. We will never see his like again. Truly one of a kind that man, I first saw his writing when he was editing the second coming of Rod and Custom magazine. Rest In Peace and Godspeed sir.
I didn't know that Pat was born in Visalia, that distinction of being a true San Joaquin Valley guy, gives me a bit more insight to him, seeing how I was born in Atwater in 53. He truly was a west coast person that helped to set the tone of the hot rodding world, through his writing, and photography and his builds. Thanks for posting that tribute to him.
In everything, there is always one that towers over the rest, just like his own # 1 Hot Rod Hero, Art Chrisman.
I never went to study hall. Always in the library instead. Cuz they had books and magazines in there with neat stuff written by Henry Gregor Felson and our friend, Pat. At least I was reading and learning new terms. Flathead Split wishbone Chopped Channeled Rake Thanks, Pat. Thanks, Stan.
nice obit. on Wikipedia this would be a good article ABOUT Pat because none exist. there IS mention of different subjects that Pat authored.
Thanks for sharing this. I just got my "Rodder's Journal" yesterday, and felt like he was still here.
I didn't write it. I just clipped and scanned and posted it this morning. (And JayJay, I only remember the ceremony.)
Thank you Stan for finding and posting . I always say people write their own Obituary and once again Pat wrote a masterpiece . Glad to have you around you still and will always touch us in our daily lives . Godspeed with burnouts and chrome Pat
I see he's survived by three brothers and a sister, I wonder if they're anywhere near as tall as Pat or if they're into hot rods too.
