I'm building a 56 F100 and this is the path it's headed down with a pre 63 style. I have gotten so sick of all the nice trucks that get built but still looking so stock.

Since an old thread is back, I'll toss this one in. I've been looking around the interwebs for a specific yellow Buick and this pickup conversion showed up. Not what I was looking for @Sancho but different enough to save to my kustom file.

Looks like a Dodge P/U box/fender used here. Maybe "Lil Yellow Express Truck??"

  10. I just posted that photo in another thread, that's a local truck that's been around for decades, member of the Clutch Artists of Buffalo NY, a club that's been around since the 50's.
You can see it in the background here

  12. I'd love to do this, but likely will not have to time or apache to do it with....I have more ideas than time or money will ever permit!

61 Chevy or GMC short bed. Chopped roof, Body sectioned, Headlight and grill area opened up for larger area with tube grill. Headlights moved to front hood openings behind frosted lenses. Bed side raised to match cab...maybe even weld bed to body, add some cool wheels, nerf bars( or split bumpers bisecting the grill area) and a 60's paint job, and it'd be bitchin.

Car front swapped onto trucks are my favorite, it's subtle, it's a lot of work, and takes someone familiar with the model to recognize the difference. Timeless custom.
