Hot Rods Shoebox Ford Ball Joints

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by fredeuce, Aug 26, 2022.

  1. Can anyone tell me which ball joints are used by Jamco on their converted A arms for the 49-53 Ford Custom/Customline? This is to adapt the Ford Granada style stub axle and disc brake assemblies. I believe they are either Moog K727 or K772.
    Can anyone help here?

Why not share it with all of us, it may help someone else with the same issue.

I don't want to take the liberty of making someone's private contact information public.

Not looking for private contact info, just the fix to the problem.

  6. Can anyone out there answer this question?

K727 is the lower ball joint that is used in a big number of Mopars

    K772 is the upper

I'm thinking that both ball joints are the same size but some lowball outfits use the Uppers as lowers because they are a few bucks cheaper and that is the ones that have premature ball joint failure.

They sure look like Mopar in the photos . Screenshot (389).png
