    That’s cool one Jim. 327, hood scoop, mag wheels. Do you have any more pictures of it?

    I just did some repair work on the body for the owner, the pics i have are of the work, more than the car itself. I will say one thing, this is my favorite corvette that i have worked on. @JimSibley, I can definitely see why you would say that. It is a great looking car with some nice custom touches.

    What's the harm? those old Corvettes always smell like gas anyway...ask me how I know.

  14. Once made a gas run in a Ferrari Daytona Coupe. Can't see why it can't be done in an old Chevy?

    Started with 1x2 acrylic and I just cut, machined , filed and sanded until the profile was right, then I sanded with 180,320,600 and 1000 grit and then polished....

    I brought my corvette to a regional NCRS judging event. And believe it or not but I got a bunch of positive comments on my car.

    Why would you not get good comments, the car is bitchin'. I'll bet there were a bunch of folks there who were jealous.

  21. You have to know Corvette guys. You put the wrong air in the tires and they get pissed.

    Love the polished acrylic grab bar!!!!! KOOL!!!!
    NCRS??
    The "cotter key" crowd.......you're docked judging "points" if you're not using the right cotter keys. :cool:
    Extreme example, but that's the way they roll.

    My experience with the NCRS , having been a member for 30 years, and seldom having a stock Corvette, has always been positive. Sure it's fun to say "I'll bet that makes the NCRS guys cry, or scream, or freak out" when talking about a modified Corvette. But I've not had a genuine NCRS member say a derogatory thing about any of my many modified Vettes. However, I have had several self righteous "Corvette lovers" that don't even have a Vette, or even a vintage car, tell me my car is ruined. Sometimes right to my face! Maybe someday I'll meet this "NCRS bigot" but I haven't yet. DSCN3329.JPG

    I hate this thread! :eek::D

    I have three OT Corvettes but every time I check out this thread I get thinking I should sell a couple of them and buy a C1 or C2 Corvette. The problem is the early cars are so expensive now I'd probably have to sell my '34 too in order to get one.

    When I see a car like this I'm back in high school as a car crazy Corvette nut. A '33.'34 coupe is and always has been my favorite hot rod. Could I give mine up for a C2 like this? I don't know but I keep thinking about it.

    This has been my experience also. I have had quite a few stock and highly modified Early Corvettes
    Over the last 53 years and have belonged to NCRS for 42 years. Very few purist have said anything
    Negative about my Corvette hot rods or race cars. I think that the NCRS thing gets blown out of
    Proportion sometime. 7A89C96F-4658-43ED-9184-B9207B13B40F.jpeg
