History 49 fords floating on the Mississippi

    This has probably been posted before but thought it was worth sharing. Roughly 180 49 fords floating down the Mississippi. Can anyone share more details?

  7. The Ford assembly plant in Memphis, on Riverside Dr., used this method to ship cars via the Mississippi River, in addition to using the railroads coming into Memphis. Opened in 1924, the Plant was closed in 1958.
