May not meet the criteria of a traditional build but it's mine and have had it for over 58 years. IMG_3925.JPG

Sorry for your loss Doug. I know that garage/shop location very well. Did he also have a (roughly) 58' Chevy (teal or turquoise colored) pickup?

    Hey Greg
That building is cool isn't it, I've been by it a handful of times, no, that was not his truck.
I drove his 34 roadster a few legs of a trip to Pleasanton.
Did you ever see it run at Woodburn, he didn't baby it.

...Another seriously cool Trendsetter in my opinion...funny it looks a lot like a Australian or New Zealand 33/34 Ford but it is not...it is of the Mopar Family...

  24. New Zealand got its cars from the U.S. not Aussie.......thank goodness for that !!:rolleyes: JW

Did the two Countries not have similar Coupes there were many in Kiwi Keves Thread on NZ Hotrod Culture...I thought Oz's were the same...did they migrate over from NZ...I've seen them in both...at shows...

  26. Very few came from Aussie to NZ but many went the other way years back as it was easier to get and were R/H drive. JW

Did the US built NZ Coupes share that Dodge style roof line...and what were Australian Coupes styled like the American Counterpart? Stogy's confused again...

The Jack Merkel 33 Willys...what a surprise its a drag coupe eh!!

  29. Aussie had a few body builders like Holden for the GM stuff and another two for Willys, in many cases only the front sheet metal was the same and Ford was the same. NZ did not get these bodies, we got the real deal from America. JW
