  1. Yeah gas door is staying, might not be period correct but I like that I was able to utilize it. It’s no early fuel cap but I’m tryoing to compliment what’s been done with a few added touches

  2. Today I managed to get the whole quarter welded in, hammered and planished. And started on the lowered body to frame bits with rivets. Took me three try’s but I think she’s a winner A55E129E-544E-484D-A8C3-CB79A0FB3130.jpeg B484655F-919D-4B62-A848-9D67ACEA5E29.jpeg 8E05234F-AF7C-4878-9447-E91A2C688F2B.jpeg B96DBFAE-B68D-4930-97D2-06BD0BCFE472.jpeg 3810100F-2AC6-4331-84D3-5A652A465143.jpeg C24BAC80-FB6F-4708-BB43-FD07264A2B13.jpeg 045B4E35-5E51-46AD-BFB8-4506B870EA8D.jpeg 06AE69D4-CC57-497B-AD6B-B377CDAE5F19.jpeg D9720F2C-073A-4413-A71A-D0A49130A5CA.jpeg 406B3E40-CF6E-400F-971B-ED32260EF663.jpeg D364B444-9EB4-494D-BA63-8271DB72ED9E.jpeg DD22783B-B4FB-457A-AF10-EF2BA2C6640C.jpeg

  9. One the table. Having to finish the other side. Maybe a blister or bubble on the side? About where my hips would be D3F243BC-AE6A-45BC-9962-C04C03EA8001.jpeg

  10. Other side lower frame and rivets complete, time for fuel tank mock up, and filler neck. Steering and maybe a roll bar hoop. Nice and tight one. 13. Added some 20x20mm square tubing around the edge to finish it off and add structure. I didn’t have my bender so it was the old ration way of many pie cuts and welding, let’s of bending but happy with how it turned out.

So many cuts! So much grinding! Looks professional now it's done! Are your hands still tingling from the grinder?

  15. Rear radious arms made abd installed. I used front model a wish bones and made my own rear section and piece that welds to the axle.
Yes I’m aware of binding, but it’s in line with the pivot of the drive shaft, it doesn’t have much travel anyways, I’ll roll the dice and see how it functions. They are not perfectly parallel sloping about 3 degrees but I’m alright with that for now. Even though its probably not the intent, I realise in part this build is advertising for your shop but Im still blown away by the amazing level of craftsmanship going into this build, particularly for its intended use of thrashing it around some red dirt. Kudos mate!

    I’m not digging the windshield.
My single seater is more of a late forties early fifties sprint car, I built a small rock guard in front of the steering wheel(I cut it down several inches after this photo was taken.)I don’t think you need anything IMO. 1CB41261-961C-4F5C-A03D-8C9E94E3C2B7.jpeg

Are you two channelling each other! Those look so much alike. Really nice. And more ideas... I'll never finish the Whatever project if I keep going back and forth on some parts and designs.

Looks like something that might be able to wait until after your deadline. You've still got 73 million things to do before race day.

  25. Yeah I totally agree, just something simple, after this race I will probably add different wheels and change it up a fair bit

  26. 73.5 million hahaha

  27. Made a seat, seat frame and seat pan that looks like a pigs nose! Another few items off the list
    This will get Upolstery at some point. 5F2CE5E2-DCF3-42D9-820F-6E892D92A083.jpeg 37E659AC-F3DA-476B-A0AF-3FE0C840E9D1.jpeg 4119863D-19BB-40A4-BAA8-83E427562838.jpeg F0B2F055-F4FA-4981-8E61-697AA9A400A9.jpeg 919FE2BD-480A-44D5-891C-0E1F045A6FCD.jpeg 653B060F-11B3-4439-8480-51123E0866D6.jpeg

  30. So I managed to alter some right hand drive and left hand drive steering arms to lower them and have them under to wishbones. Now I’m not sure how well this will work but fingers crossed it does. I made a pitman arm the has some details to the body and frame, tomorrow I will finish the drag link and shorten the steering column, I want to turn the wheel tomorrow and watch those tires turn! 972A20AB-195B-46F8-9438-9D8073818E1D.jpeg E9B4E51E-CA6F-44A6-A341-C8A8B91105EC.jpeg 81586BAF-FE79-4987-B197-3C0F6D1FE57C.jpeg 56982065-14A1-44EE-95D6-96E2E5EEDC7F.jpeg 7761A61C-AEBA-489B-931C-C673312A0B18.jpeg 683CA655-7984-49B9-A8D5-10D1488F031F.jpeg 1896F268-8F5A-4FDA-960C-2CA58B2AAFB1.jpeg DA90EDD6-F1D5-4D4A-AAE1-25ABB57E8898.jpeg 260318C3-022D-476F-BB20-2873F5619925.jpeg 1081C4D6-A3CF-4AC1-ADBE-D6BB656F2615.jpeg D262AD7A-B1CB-4639-824C-6906163F1F51.jpeg 326F3B5F-A511-4F25-B944-756C82C19BFF.jpeg 27EF690B-9644-41F4-98DF-E7023FD89FF0.jpeg 95E3CDE3-8E48-46F5-A1D8-071C688C4E9D.jpeg
