@-Brent-, That coupe just does it for me! Not trying to sidetrack the thread, but I would like to know, do the Radir Slicks hold true to the advertised spec's as far as diameter and section width? I'd like to get a pair for my bucket of bolt's, but only have a certain amount of leeway to deal with.

Front wheels are '40 Ford, rear wheels are International truck wheels from around 1941 - 5 bolt holes, old Ford pattern, wider than '40 Ford wheels so they fit the Firestone bigs better

When it came time to replace my Goodyear's, I went with Coker American Classic radials. Same sizes,
5.90 Front, 8.20 Rear. Ride and handling vastly improved. The rear WW is a little wider, but I can live with it.

    '34 Pickup: '35 16" rims, Firestone 6.00X16 fronts, 7.00X16 rears
'29 Roadster: '35 16" rims, Blockley 6.00X16 fronts, 6.50X16 rears. Would have gone with 7.00 or 7.50 rears, but they don't make them any larger than 6.50. I may change the fronts to 5.50's instead. 34E11BD5-2341-4ED3-9B00-62922C709E63.jpeg

The Pontiac Kelsey Hays 8 lugs on big Pontiacs. I'll put the stopping power of those brakes against any other American car disc / drum system.

Fronts are 500/525 and rears are 750-16s. I'm not sure what size wheels are on it, the car belongs to @EV34 he can say for sure.

I blame the sizes of wheels and tires on modern cars for a need for this thread. It seems that tires that fit rims from 13" to 15" have become extinct. If we need tires, we might as well spring for era correct bias plies because we can't find radials anyhow.

  26. On certain cars I really like the fat white white walls. Most guys use 7:50 bias in rear and 5:50 in front. But I went up a size in front in order to get the equivalent white wall in front. Most people probably don't notice , but I'm a guy who like proportions correct. These photos are of the Coleman Coupe when I did the rebuild. The first one is when I sold the car to a friend and he went with smaller tire and white wall. After trading to get the coupe back the second photo shows the larger more proportionate white walls. JMO IMG_8765.JPG COLEMAN June 20 2015 019.JPG Man I miss that car!

Maybe you're not looking in the right places. Just this year I've bought both a set of 15" and a set of 14" from the same place, Priority Tire. All radials. I know a lot of sizes are no longer available, but there are still a lot to choose from. Both sets I bought are MasterCraft, made by Cooper.
