    From above -

This car is fast..! Small Chevy, tunnel ram as I recall, full, very well done (mostly hidden) roll cage.
He crashed it a coupla years back, did some ugly damage. Took years to get it back together, but the last race at Irwindale (coupla months back), it was there for the first time since the crash.
While the car was repaired nicely, the engine was having..."teething" problems, and not up to the same level of performance as it was before the crash.
    He'll get it figured out.
Looks pretty tame...until he hits the gas pedal.

Some say my coupe is wicked. Wicked is in the eye of the beholder. BDB56207-BCE0-4654-A57A-6C893165F51B.jpeg BE576E67-27BF-4710-B985-720380D334DF.jpeg 728A8937-29B8-4E53-8F5B-6C6473957882.jpeg

Over the years I've attended various drag events and whenever an anouncement about such and such (known) car was coming into the lanes and we were cruising the pits or getting a burger, etc. we would make a beeline to the stands so not to miss it.
It has been mentioned many times but I'll toss this into the mix again.
Had I been on the scene when Harry Luzader was campaigning his feared deuce 5 window gas/altered class car you can bet I'd either be in the stands or leaning on the chain link fence in anticipation.
    Like a Bakersfield "fencecrow"!

  14. Jerry Kugel's first race car, powered by a 260 small block Ford. That's our ranchero beside it, our Stude was in front of the Ranchero. Never one to over spend, you'll note Jerry's SBC valve cover cut in half for air scoops.

Wicked indeed. Any idea what front brakes and spindles are on this car?

Racer X , there is only a hand full of Hot Rods that have come along every few years in last 90 years , between 1930-1941 , then 48- around 55, then early 80s to present that are Legendary/ Iconic your Hot Rod in my opinion is one of those, Legendary and Iconic ,,,,
before WWII early 50s that where drove on street personal use then drove to Land speed/ race track stripped down , competed then reassemble back to Street use drove home ,, I only know of two that ran on Nitro , a 32 Black Flattheaded roadster form Ca & yours ,,, I shore there where few more , I do not know of , alot was not covered in Mags across USA maybe other countries,, If there where other that some one knows of post there Name vehicle and state & about around the year ,,, I glad that your Build thread was not """Delete "". This to me is what Hot Rodding is about , revolving around technology.

Other than the fact that it's a roadster and not a coupe... I guess not, it's pretty wicked. ;):D:cool:
