Event Coverage Tri-5 Nationals Bowling Green, Ky 2022

Who's going?
After 5 years we finally made it with the Wife's '57 Nomad. I know it's 2 wks away, but we are already here. Staying a month at Beach Bend Camp Ground. We come out to Kentucky every year for 2-7 wks, but this is 1st time at this Camp Ground.
Stop by and see us if you get here early. We are in site 214. Otherwise look for us at the Show. White '57 Nomad with "Ramblin' Rose" on rear fenders. Hope to meet some HAMBers while here. Ron

 

I will be there with my son, he has a 57 chevy sedan delivery that he races in stock class. 220 horse 283. Don

I plan on pulling the Scotty up late weds that week. Will be there for 2 days. Our group always parks at the curve at the top of the big hill.

 

we will be there in the campground. Tues through Sun. Stop by and say hi. If any of you are in town tuesday evening, there is a local cruise in at Brewsters on scottsville rd. Accross from greenwood mall

Not really. Last week there seemed to be a lot here, I think for the street car racing. This is my first time at the camp ground so I don't really know what to expect for Tri Five.

 

Planning on being there Friday. My '55 is not ready. Just going to look around. I've made all of them so far.

 

Tri-5s are rolling into the camp ground. We've got our own show going on until Thursday when the Nationals start. Meeting a lot of good people, ie. Steve with his '55 Gasser. I think he's the only HAMB member I've met so far and I believe the only non-trailered car so far. It's going to be a fun week! Ron

 

Am I hearing that Tri Five guys don't drive their rods to BG?

 

Really wanted to be there in my 65 year old '57 Chevy, but it was not to be. My brother and I made the trip in 2017, long drive from the 757.

 

My plans have been changed for me. Looks like I will roll out early, early Fri AM and get to the campground in time to enjoy Fri and Saturday. Look foward to seeing fellow HAMB members too.

There are more being driven in. A '57 wagon showed up towing a camper trailer and another one towing small trailer with golf cart on it. More and more cars coming in. Going to be a good time. Ron

 

Thought I saw your car but then I checked the door handles. The wife wanted to drive her Nomad but we are still working bugs out, so we trailered it. Ron

Congrats on the top 25. I probably made the bottom 25. Lots of great cars. Drag racing was disapointing, but what did race was great. Im sorry I didn't meet you guys in the campground, but I left my phone in the car and never checked the site while I was there. Best one yet, as far as I'm concerned.

As always, the car show on the streets of Bowling Green was great. Weather was perfect too. A couple of shots of mine and Mark's coming into the show grounds. That guy always takes a good picture.

And corvettes. As long as it came off the assembly line from the beginning of the 55 model year to the end of the 57 model year according to the show enforcers.
