132+ is a pretty big nut.. good luck.. been in the record book for 20 years. I’m sure many have tried.
Good luck and have fun. You know you have a great garage when a front engine dragster is hanging from the rafters. Be safe out there.
Looking forward to seeing how the combination works out. Been toying with the idea of a NA combination for our Rear Engine Modified Roadster not as easy as it looks. But for now we still have a bit more speed left in the Mistress XF/BG configuration so were heading West to see how much more. Ronnieroadster
Here's a link to the mill they plan to use to break that record. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-worlds-fastest-flathead.1268814/
As they saying goes, "if it was easy everyone would do it" good luck and may the Salt Gods be with you.
Great read on the engine build. NA gasoline engines perform better at the October “World Finals” meet where the air density is way better than August. Ken Kloth pushed his 51 Merc to 140 with his own idea on how to build a flathead with a 4 barrel and stock height production car so it can be done. The only ez records are the open ones and sometimes you can’t get 2 runs back to back. The salt God is fickle and has a high dislike for prediction’s. I hope everything goes well.
That would be worth a road trip to watch. If the kids were more settled in Idaho I'd drop the wife off so she had a few days of playing grandma and head to the salt. That won't work this year but maybe next year. I got to wondering and it runs in the same class as Bill Ross's car does. A bit of Across the Cascades competition maybe.
