Hey what's up Travis, Ken here with the blue chevy truck. Need to stop by and see what you got brewing. The 40 Ford has come a long way, nice to see it on the road. Almost done with the truck too, Later

so after making a list of the necessary things,
joe looked through some old pictures/catalogs/mags,
looked at the other hot rods lyin around the shop,
and decided to drop a couple G's on some flathead speedparts,
posies revI springs, and other stuff I've never been able to afford new.
(no pic of this stuff yet-H&H flatheads boxin it right now)

Unfortunately I have a bunch of my own projects.
So doing a "hot rod restoration" wasn't gettin the juices flowin.
After some deliberation, a friend and I started cutting around 10 PM saturday.

my scrubber didn't quite know what to think,
I told him it was the full moon.

    After some cutting and fitting,
Joe got his first boner since his stomach cancer surgery.

I think he thought I was kidding when I said "chop it up",
but I could really use some extra pocket change for one of those

This was the easy part mocking it up

So yesterday was rear window/quarter window day.
And a friend LUKE-pbraww helped all night.
    Almost everything was gas welded,hammered,
but I had to cheat and use bigmig for tacking it.
Joe said he wasn't afraid of bondo,
    he's had a bunch of chevy's
but I can keep it to a minimum
    [IMG]
So now I have to get it running by Ventura's PRIMER NATIONALS september 2
-I have about $200 in side bets against me.
[IMG]-don't think I'll get it finished by the end of TECH week though!
-I'll post tonights progress, hopefully the rest of the stretches and a door.

Yeah for the past 3/4 nights we've been working til at least midnite!
the shots that luke took were from 10-12 saturday nite!

typically I just try to line everything before 9pm,
then just weld everything little by little til midnite,
    while Luke/pbraww strips the mechanicals.

Actually the shps on MAIN ST like 0s55 said,
    its downtown ventura,
    the opposite of suburbia.

We're all renters in million dollar houses,
and I've had seniority - 7 years at this location,
so they are all used to it,
just give them a break and not be too loud too long.
(between grinding and these 3 Grateful Dead Bootlegs (68/74/77))
(actually listened to Tool-OPIATE at midnite, probably freaked all the neighbors!)

(the worst thing you can do is give them too much quiet,
like living under an airport/train tracks, they just get used to it)

Also CIRKLE K is across the street, open all night.
they'll pressure wash the parking lot at 3AM! every week!

any way thanks for the comps guys,
post some new pics tonight, other side almost tacked up.
