This came with a group of flathead parts but it may be Y block not sure. I am told it is a front motor mount for truck and or tbird. Not sure if for 6 or 8 cylinder or both or what tears are applicable , so i really would like some ID help. Thanks

That is the front engine mount for a Y-block from a car. The trucks did not have this. If my memory serves me correctly.

Trucks and birds did have a front engine mount. It’s hard to say (it’s been years since I looked close at one), but I think Boneyard is right. Front steady rest from passenger car. The car used side motor mounts and rear transmission mount. Stories vary as to why they also had a front mount, but many guys left them off once they pulled them
