In the front as well? Is the rear narrower than stock? On my 55 the 235/60/15 are a challenge to get on and off.
    Thanks

I’ve never been a ‘56 fan, but this is KILLER!!!
I would make one very minor suggestion, and move that brake junction block down to the frame, it just cleans that area up.
    Well done, Sir! 026C87D0-4CCA-4C6D-93DE-9DFDB7F5C4D9.jpeg F9C65BD9-0973-4FEF-80E2-1646F0AD6690.jpeg

My thought exactly. I was thinking chrome spiders on the wheels & it's done. I used to own a 56 210 model & i don't think it was nice as this one. Mine had a 58 Corvette powertrain in it, but mine was the turquoise & white of that year. Sweet car here.

I was expecting to see something like this when I opened this thread @Jeff Norwell.
By the way, I also like the 57 more but something tells me that if I had not taken up with the Bowtie Gang this 56 would be on my "want list".

Back to the topic at hand, I would be reluctant to do all black like that but it totally works and looks killer!

Rockys old 55 is one of my top 10 favs.. just an ugly little dirty bird that looks like a scrapper.... If I owned it it would be.. with a monster 445 FE stroker and stick....
Yes DDDenny........my soul belongs to Henry and the 57 year model.

One thing on all of Dougs builds Ive seen here is stance, every one of em has the perfect stance ! Thats easier said than done & in the age of bags or "laid out" belly down cars these just look so much better to me. Nice work dude! Inspires me to get our 57 sitting just a little bit better ..

Doug is good people, had a great time hanging out with him and solid bunch of other guys at Rich Toonkel's gathering last "fall". I say it that way because it was like 7 degrees Fahrenheit that day and we all froze our asses off. That 56 is absolutely sinister. All business.

Both cars have a clean and understated style, they are a perfect example of "less is more"...

This car is so right. It's exactly what I'm aiming for with my own car.

I've always admired the understated look of both of these cars. I agree that '56 is perfection in simplicity.

    Bravo!
