  1. Here is my Mac Tools top on a cheap roller. Picked it up a few years ago at a yard sale.

My favorite is this smaller tool box I picked up at an estate sale. Love the design and storage in the lid. Not sure how old it is. The handle is wood and there are no markings anywhere.

Snap-On roll box bought used from our local Mac dealer around 1980. Roll front door works well. Must have belonged to a master Ford mechanic. When I got it, it had heavy pad on top. Has a cord to plug in for a bed lamp over the work area and it's drilled for a vise. The component rack is brazed together.
    Since I can't use the rack, I piled top boxes on it ... Aug 5 18 001.JPG Aug 5 18 003.JPG Aug 5 18 005.JPG Aug 5 18 002.JPG

Here's another shot of the Snap-on, & a Rem-Line roll box I've had over 50 years. All the top boxes were trade-ins to our Mac & Snap-on drivers who knew I'd buy anything used. HPIM5094.JPG HPIM5093.JPG HPIM5089.JPG

While helping my Dad move, he gave me his prized tool box. I love this thing. Lots of memories.

Grabbed this for $20 at a yard sale. I've not cleaned it up yet, but should be a good one to use daily! IMG_8344.JPG

I always love coming back to this thread.

All of my toolboxes are 1970s and 1980s vintage, and all either made by Waterloo or rebranded Waterloo boxes made for/by other companies. Needless to say, I’m a bit of a Waterloo collector. Too bad they’ve recently gone out of business.

  11. That's an unusual top chest with that lift-up cantilever tray attached to the lid. Don't recall ever seeing that used by any other manufacturer. Plomb only?

My latest score. Approx 1949 Snap-On combo. Snap-On didn't starts dating boxes until about 1957.
Its been painted so it can only be original once. I put new liner in all the drawers and Matt's on the top and floor of the bottom box and new castors on it. Trying now to fill it with period correct tools but getting bored with that.

  14. This is my 1940s era Craftsman Toolbox, I wish I had a full set of Vintage tools to use with it, but I have only one original breaker bar, a set of 8 point sockets, and a late 50s snap on 1/2 inch ratchet. 20210824_191033.jpg 20210723_165225.jpg

Picked this up today for $15! It's only 6x14" but is in near unused shape. Not sure of age yet. It's my new watches and jewelry box, maybe I will quit losing my wedding ring..... IMG_0891.JPG IMG_0893.JPG

After my dad passed a few years back I got his old machinist toolbox. I'm guessing it's from the late 70's

I just picked this table up at an estate sale. It has a kingpin press mounted to it and has 2 other brackets bolted to it. Anyone recognize it? 20220823_101230.jpg

I've posted my first tool box which came with my High School Auto Tech required tool set. This SK was my second tool box. After graduation, I got hired as a Mechanic at the local cab company. This was the first thing I bought. A couple years later my Brother graduated and got a job as a Mechanic. I gave him this box since I had upgraded. He recently passed away and I inherited the old box back. I put those decals on it 45 years ago.

The way the press is mounted it looks like a purpose built table a tool company may have sold.

I kind of wish I had one for this one. One of my hobbies is I build model cars and this one has become my paint supply box.

  30. This box I picked up a while ago, the box is not outstanding, but I like the regional mix of stickers. The internet says the wave radio station started in 1988. CCAF1A76-D513-4BCD-B4CF-6059EC6EE0FD.jpeg
