I reckon everybody has a different definition of the term "Hot Rod". My buddy Nick and I were headed to LARS a couple years back, pulling a trailer, running about 75+, when Nick's brother Ken swoops past us like we were standing still. Now that little Chevy has a 235/5-speed, and flat hauls butt.... He can run all day like that, with the AIR CONDITIONING on........It has an old Tattersfield intake with a pair of Webers, and lots more !!! He calls it a daily driver, I call it a dang Hot Rod !!!! 3. My kind of hot rod. A friend calls my 1950 Buick "Bens stealth hot rod." I would be proud to run with Nicks brother.

I love this thread. Hot Rods look so much cooler when they are being driven. 74756DA8-0269-4457-89AF-0707A19627A5.jpeg

Always a nice surprise when someone snaps a pic of your car.

    Hello,

One day prior to the start of the pandemic, I was coming home from a short shopping trip, along with getting some gas in our car. I noticed a huge white SUV next to me and it seemed like it blocked out the sun for everyone. So, I was content to keep driving along. But something caught my eye.

In one of the traffic lanes over toward the center double yellow lines, a cool old car flashed between the slight openings between the huge, white, behemoth and other cars. It was a lowered grey/black primer old Ford sedan going in the same direction.

So, I took out my digital camera and started shooting from the shoulder, in a point and shoot estimation of where the car was and where it was going. It was a chopped, lowered cool custom Ford that I had seen a week prior in a grocery store/restaurant complex. At the time, we were both in a rush to get to our destinations and I told myself that I would see the chopped Ford again sometime.

It was a “one of” situation and luckily, I captured a custom lowered Ford cruising down the road.
