Anthony Myrick, HRP, Kiwi, pork&beans, and Lloyd would be on my short list. Amongst many others I would like to meet. So many others who have passed that, God willing, I will meet someday.

I would drive a couple thousand miles as long as I could keep water out of the air filter... Seriously, HAMB cruise Hawaii has a nice ring to it.

Come on guys you would drive 1 hour or get a rental for any further, are you serious , to me thats lame . Build memories driving your hot rod. We just flew 8000 miles and drove 6800 in the US, sure we were in a rental but the airline wouldn’t let us bring our 32 as carry on . Did ask here about catching up at a gathering at back to the fifties but no response .our old friend @Moriarity was the only one who responded . He is great value to catch up with again and enjoy his splendid collection .got to share the fun with our HAMB buddy @hot-rod-1958 .

  10. I could throw together a regional event here, I have 3 acres fenced that I mow, plus another 115 across the road i can use. There's an 1/8th mile drag strip about 4 miles from my house that we could probably rent for a day. I have the band, swimming pool, burn pit, garage and upholstery shop on site for any repairs... if I knew I could get 20 of you here I'd foot the bill :D:cool: but we could easily do 100 cars..

Always nice for a HAMB meet-up around major shows. Detroit Autorama, Jalopyrama, etc. But there are certainly others like the LSRU, Lead East, CCR, etc., I think it will just take a little extra logistics to plan a specific time and place at the events for a dedicated HAMB meet-up.

I'd probably do about 100 miles or so for a meet-up independent of a larger event though.

I have been all over. This one was in my backyard years ago when Bob K made the stickers for them. I need a hot rod again. I have driven 2200 miles round trip in a T roadster so traveling is most of the fun anyhow. 4EF1ADB4-EE06-429F-8088-EC60094C4619.jpeg

I've signed a few of those HAMB banners, and I had a few of Bob K's stickers. I've missed a few Meet & Greets at events because I was not in the right area at the right time. When you get caught up in activities and you look at your watch and find out the Meet & Greet is in 5 minutes and its on the other side of the grounds, what can you do?

I'd sure be up for Lloyd's HAMB thing, but it would have to plan for the 2nd annual in 2023, the long trip budget for this year has already been accounted for. According to google directions its 540 miles through Chicago, which I won't do, or 600 miles around Chicago, one way. Gene

  23. Well. I live about 10 minutes from Santa Margarita ranch, home or the RPM Nationals. I have good friends who own an excellent micro brewery who would love to host a get together. Room for several cars Good food and great beer. Also it’s a good place to bring your kids as they have all kind of games. Let me know if there’s any interest.

I'm going to make a 275 mile one way trek to The Jalopy Jamup this year...fingers crossed. I think that's a milestone and no doubt there will be a sizable presence of the Hamb there...

I have done this distance once before in the Hotrod...my biggest concern is the weather of course as I my ride is not well equipped for that wet stuff...

    That said I'm excited...

As already mentioned, the "HAMB Meet and Greets" have been going on for quite awhile. Here's a photo from the 2008 Hunnert Car Pileup.
