We are starting a new project, 1941 truck. Got a free cab and mock-up motor & trans. Building frame from 2x4 tube, dropped A axle (that my friend Doctor Gofaster and I did) split bones, and 88 camaro rear on leafs, so far turned out pretty good.
My son wanted the dirt-track wheels and tires, we cut out the floor{ mostly gone anyway} and channeled the cab, I made the floor supports in the last pic, and pulled it out to do the welding, I think it will sit pretty low.
Just a sbc and th350, although scored a runner that I am picking up this saturday. Also scored a th350 for $170.
He has since changed his mind on the Dirt track tires, now has some skinny ones in front, drives better. Still work to do, Bed floor, change the seat to something lower profile, maybe front panhard. but is a driver for now.
Well you are doing all the right hot rodding stuff , except for a shop that you can find stuff in . I am jealous.
Update!! Wanting more power and a BBC, He bought a 468ci BBC, had to do a bigger recess for the dizzy and cut the motor mounts out, test fitting shows it will clear the master cylinder, and the rad/grill will have about 1/2 inch of clearance. Question, where do you connect for the oil pressure? Its not like a SBC.
