Sit in the seat, and hold the steering wheel and column up… then move it forward and back… where it feels right is in the ball park. A lot depends on the seating position!
Here's a dimension from the center of the dash to the center of the steering column on a stock 32. 10" On a sedan the dimension from the left edge of the dash to the center of the steering column is also 10"
On my 3 window coupe, I have the steering column 10 1/4" from the centerline of the car. Like alchemy said it's close to the two bolt holes on the bottom of the dash.
