My buddy Shug at So What Speed shop built this Roadster. It's owned by Chic (Lady Pin Striper).Shug also helped me get my Merc running. He builds traditional styled hot rods. Not show cars, but drivers.[IMG]

Thar roadster definitely has the "LOOK" Proportions, stance, etc. A cool hot rod!

Chic drives the wheels off her roadster. Definitely the real deal. Not just a on Sunday driver. Thanks for the photo and post.

:D As a long time CA resident, I can relate. There are some great things about this state, but there are some great negatives about it too. I often think about moving out. Almost every trip I make to AZ I see people in moving vans loaded up and leaving, and many of them put "goodbye" messages on the back of the van telling us that another one is leaving. I can sympathize.

The hot rod scene in southern California is unparalelled, it's tough to get parts/services/etc. in New England...I miss that dearly (and real Mexican food and great sushi on a regular basis).
Getting ready to show these New Englanders what a so-cal style traditional 32 roadster looks like - and drive it for the 4 months that it's not too cold or raining. Wonder if they'll understand the Mexican blanket seat cover :)

Now that a couple weeks have passed, I've had time to reflect on the LA Roadster exhibition.
It was really nice to see old friends and make a few new ones. The LA Roadster club members
were extremely helpful and friendly. Although they were busy attending to all the details it takes
to run such a great show, they always took the time to be helpful to everybody. The Friday night
B.B.Q. was fantastic, and Saturdays turnout was nearly as good as previous years. I think next
years show will be even better!

Thanks for the pics Blake - looks like the show side was good. I was selling at the swap meet and it was the opposite...horrible turn out and no one buying...
