For that piece, unless you are boycotting the Hoffman group, I’d probably buy it. Worst it could do is come apart over time, but not be a safety issue.

When you punch in the lokar number doesn't show the correct one.

Do you think there is only one supplier for the boot?

Usually I'll take any opportunity to Poo Poo The Hoffman Group, but there are no moving parts on those, so it might be worth a chance.

Okay the exact thin oval you want is on eBay, summit and speedway. Part number you can google , 70-EHBT is stainless and X70-EHFB is black these are under eBay and Summit.

Lol that’s what I was thinking but question the quality of the boot, though others may be relatively the same.

Late ‘60’s early ‘70’s MoPar’s 4 speed cars without a console had an oval chrome trim ring and boot. I have a newly chromed trim ring that I paid $80 to have re chromed!!!

I had a fab shop cut me 10 of those out with the holes in a different location. The holes that hold it in place hit the E-brake mechanism. I moved them a skosh, so they fit better. I just paint them to match the carpet and counter sink the holes. I custom make new boots to also match the carpet
