Hey friends, I can't believe that its been 30 years since we started the Shifters So. Cal. . A time when building/driving/owning a primered traditional Hot Rod was not in vogue. In fact, many car events frowned at us in those days. A lot has happened over the years, our hobby is now accepted , we took a little break after Anthony (Brown Neck Bandito bubble top) passed away, but today we're rejuvenated, building new Hot Rods, and sprucing up some of our original cars. This fall, we're going to organize a HUGE Car Show - equipped with traditional Hot Rods, Customs, Bands, DJ's, and lots of Beer. We're nailing down the location, but in the meantime here's a flier. We're going to be set up at this weekend's LA Roadsters Swap Meet, and will be passing out fliers to those that are interested. Stay tuned. All the best, Axle

Like I've told you before Alex, The Shifters were a big influence on this Gen-X Hot Rodder in the '90s. It was 30 years ago I got my first real hot rod as well. Someone in the early '90s told me about this bitchin' car club in So Cal called The Shifters. "A bunch of young guys like yourself who build Hot Rod like we did in the '50s and '60s."
I'll drag something out. You guys are the ones that pissed on aluminum wheels and digital dashes out here. I have to also mention the Bee Boys, Merc John, Claude Troudt.....but you guys had It when the purple people eater pulled into Tuxies, pooring water out of your bros Coors antifreeze overflow
