I know that '53-'54 Chevy grills are very cool, especially the '54.
But, there is only so much that you can do with the stock grill and teeth, besides adding more teeth. Anyone just running the center bar, or another type of grill? Please post pics. Thanks
Yes, I have done a search.

I'm putting 19 teeth in mine. The '54 Pontiac is a nice look, but in a Chevy it just looks like a stock Poncho. Hard to improve on perfection!

I'll be adding 2 more teeth to my '53, so nothing to special.

I don't have a picture, but I once saw a '54 with a '56 Plymouth Savoy grille bar and I've been dreaming about it since. Anyone else have a picture of a 53/54 running a *shudder* Chrysler grille?

Repop '53 Corvette grille, stock '53 Chevy parking lights (using 2-cup stainless steel measuring cups for housings), mounted in an opening I made out of sheet metal.
I loved it when I did it a few years ago, now I'm thinking it's a little too "busy" looking? I'd also do the upper part of the opening different if I did it today. I do, however, plan to use the same measuring cup trick with '53 lights on the '51 that I'm about to start building. Worked like a charm, and I love the look on guys' faces when they say "what are those turn-signal housings from" and I say "they're measuring cups!" The handles made nice mounting brackets.

I used to run 9 teeth but I thought it looked better with 15.

Thanks for info. Another question, a little crazy: would the teeth from a '50-'51 Chevy fit on a '54 Chevy grill cross bar? Also, can '53 teeth bolt onto a '54 cross bar?

Guess this post shows how few custom grills are in '53-'54.
I know it is hard to improve perfection, but why not try?

my chrome was shit and rusted, buffed it all off and decided to show polish this. No really custom but cool touch I think.
