Spent some time tuning the Holley 94 today. Settled on 49 jets and 6.5 power valve. Runs petty good. I get some occasional hesitation but I am also trying to dial in the Mallory dual point. It has manual timing adjustment.

I drove the ‘Okie Coupe’ around some until my throttle linkage return spring broke. Had to lift the pedal up from the floor with my toe after each acceleration. Almost seems like it should be part of the old manual driving experience. No comparison between the hopped up roadster and the stock coupe. Roadster is so much more fun to drive.

Checking some things off of the ‘to do’ list. Removed another leaf and swapped to cast drums.

Should I try to salvage a pair of splash pans for Ratty?

Didn’t end up going to Jalopyrama due to weather. Went for a cruise this morning. Still not roadster weather. FFFBA3B2-D01D-44F4-ABF4-61572B86E9B1.jpeg 1A17BA5A-F0F5-4B38-8FE7-34D20390FC46.jpeg

We head out this weekend to Prewar Pileup with Ratty the Roadster in tow. Making a family road trip out of it and visiting family along the way. I plan to dig into my 1930 Coupe AV8 build when I get back. I’m still looking for some parts. Let me know if you have anything.

    -V8 Radiator
    -Model A frame
    -Drop Axle
-39 Style transmission (78 double detent)

    -Caravan middle seat
    -SW gauges
    -Flathead headers or Lake pipes

Well.. the tarp didn’t last but about a couple hundred miles. It started ripping apart on the trailing edge. I had to rethink it. I ended up removing the soft top and wrapping the tarp around the seat to keep it from getting wet if it rained.
