Some good pics in here, the event was amazing really enjoyed it cant wait till next year.

I made it by skin of my teeth finished the car Thursday night then off to pendine friday morning . First time I drove it was into tech. Passed. My cars the black T with alloy bonnet and sides car number 658 class v4/fr

Burnouts don't really work at Pendine....




Just joking, for those who've never been there, these are actually made by a tractor to mark out the public parking areas on the beach between tides.

 

1st run watch for the spray, 2nd run listen to that noise!

121.33 mph!

 

'Finished' my car on Thursday night and left early Friday. Had a blast (and a small fire!...). My first time driving there after years watching.

 

That looks and sounds fantastic....

No because I didn't even try to enter it, as I'm not sure if it's ready for Pendine yet. I have it booked in for other events this summer for shake downs . I'll update my thread if anything remotely encouraging happens!

Great event, makes you feel alive. I was chuffed to get my class win and fastest N/A flathead overall. I’m the same guy that someone posted a video my buddy done at goodwood last year.

15psi oil pressure, is that normal for a flathead at speed?

 

On my roadster? 40 psi cold idle 20psi hot idle. Runs 40-50 psi at speed with 0.0025 rod and 0.0025-30 main clearances using 0/30 Mobil 1.

 

Just thought it odd that the guy driving in vid said he was running at 15psi which he seemed content with how it was running. I assume that was hot oil.

A damp 300 miles cross country journey. Plenty of stops for fuel, food and the hell of it so it took 13 hours.
