RIP Ronny . I owned his 74 2 door Lincoln about 15 years ago !!!!!! burgundy with burgundy interior , port hole windows on the side , thing was mint for a 70’s land yacht , didn’t own it for to long and most folks my age had no clue who I was talking about !!! bought it for a bag of peanuts compared to what those cars are selling for now a days . God speed good sir .
Saw Ronnie and his band in the 90's at Bal de Neige/Winterlude (February)festival in Ottawa, Ontario. Talk about troopers.......that night was extremely cold yet there he and his band were on stage firing away! How cold was it....after the gig we went to a restaurant to get a bite to eat my plastic lenses fell out of my steel frames........that's cold!
I'm sorry he's gone but we've still got his music. My all time favorite Ronnie Hawkins, " Boba Lou" song.
Sad news, but Ronnie lived life to the fullest. He took talented Canadian kids under his wings and developed some outstanding musicians.
