Finally swap meets are a thing again. Loaded up for tomorrow's 5am start. Luckily its in town so not much of a drive. But just my luck mother nature decided to supply some May Gray in the form of actual rain last night while the truck was parked outside. It's in the garage now in case some more wet stuff tonight.
Some times we take stuff to get real money out of it, some times we take stuff we hope we can get some spending money along with paying for the space with. Then there the times we take some stuff just to be able to have a space rented so we can hang out and have a spot to drag any purchases back to. That's a fun story Joey, reminds me of loading my 57 panel full of parts along with my buddy's stuff and heading off to the Pate Museum swap meet when it was at the Museum and hoping to sell enough stuff to pay for gas and the space, buy something for lunch and buy a few parts.
I always love when guys show up at a swap meet with all this stuff in their truck bed like this but don't take it out and your just suppose to pick through it.
Only made a little over 140 bucks after the entry fee. But a little less to trip over in the shop. I'll try again at the Model T club meet in Devore in June. After that its a dump run like @MCjim suggested.
This thread reminded me years ago when my brother and 3 friends had swap spaces side by side in Jefferson so I decided to hang out with them 1 weekend. Had to laugh, the one that made the most was a friends younger step son that was with them. Watching the other kids with signs and hauling stuff for people out to the parking lot he asked his step dad if he could borrow money to buy a dolly from a vendor around the corner so he could try his luck at hauling. His step dad was all for it. didn't take him long to pay him back and by the weekend was over he made more then the group did.
