That's the plan, I'll have to fauxtina the decklid to match the pics I have but that will be there only piece not original to the paint scheme.

Right on.. holla at me. We'll be at the swap meet in Kellyville next week working it all week. Me and a friend took it over.

Good news with the paint scheme, I'll need to start from scratch on my avatar as it was renumbered by successive owners/drivers....

Looks as if you're an old hand at the hobby as well as anyone, I'm sure you know the talents of Marty Strode & Robert Palmer here on the hamb they are two of my favorites to follow, very talented & accomplished builders willing to provide help with inquires as well. The "chopped 9" 33 Ford " thread by Ton Secora out of Omaha is also a great read, lots of racing history still being garnered with that ride for sure.

I haven't seen anything from Marty or Robert.... although I did get to hang out with Tom at Trog and drooled all over his car. I made the deal on this 34 body the day before we left for Carlisle/TROG/Hershey last October.... Went and picked it up when we got back and have been thrashing away at it since. Buying parts from all over the country to get it together for our car show in June... the Prewar Pileup. Then we were invited to the Pinetree Jamboree in Winterport Maine so we'll be hitting that as well along with TROG in October again. So we have a lot scheduled for this year!

I for sure need to create a thread myself on my build as it seems I somehow interfered with Tom's, I've plenty of photo's, articles, trophies etc. dating back to 1948 from the many racing events of the yellow V-8 numbered coupes by the Burdick family.

Scored this killer winter front cover..... a friend found it on eBay and sent it to me. I couldn't pass it up, it came from Canada. Doubt I'll run it, but it would be cool to try it in the winter!!

Does the door posts mount to the sub rails or straight to the frame??

Yes and no... the B pillar attaches to the subfloor then it bolts to the frame. The 34 has almost 40 mounting points, maybe a few more I haven't found them all yet.

I have a couple of floors to stitch together for my own '34 just like what you're doing so this part is very interesting to me, if you have other pictures or insights on how this goes please post them.

I just started bolting it down to the frame in the stock location and made my cuts and tacked it together... keeping it bolted so it wouldn't move. I patched all the sides also... still need to do the rear panel across the back but wanted the body on so I could get the right height so it would meet the tail pan.

We have a "Postwar Pileup" area which is a front row parking to the main show if you have an old car that doesn't meet the requirements it's $20 to park there. Daily drivers parking is $10 farther out.

I love the extended parking brake handle so you don't have to lean forward as much to operate the hand brake button.

thanks, its a motolever accessory handle. I grabbed it at a swap meet, as luck would have it it was on a 34 E brake handle so that bolted right up!!

    Thanks man!!

Onto the firewall and cowl sides... I had a few pieces I snagged from some buddies so gettin that gapping hole filled up. Had to deconstruct some inner toe board parts from a 33 cowl I had to get the new cowl sides to work and for the floor to mount to the frame in that area. Looks like I'll have to make a recessed panel for the fuel pump.
