I looked at a posting on the hamb, pics of hot rods and only 3 out of 29 had fenders. I personally like the no fender look to me screams hot rod
I'm a bit the same Fridolf, love fenders on trucks all the time but some sedans look great without them. Once you clean up the frame and paint it will look heaps better
Just a little update to where I'm at with this project. Still snow balling on me, but I'm in it to the end. I don't have alot of money, I just make poor decisions, lol ! I can sleep in a car but I can't drive a house.
What to call it? How's about Avalanche! Since one thing snowballs into another... At least it ain't a whining snowflake... Gonna be one NICE streetrod when it's done. & that isn't an insult... Marcus...
Sigh... that's what I get for not posting right away & then not re-reading the entire thread through again before posting... ;( . Fortunateson called it correctly, & 1st ! . Marcus...
Back in the 1960's we would watch this Chrysler 6 beat a bunch of Flat Head Ford V8's on Saturday nights at the Danbury Racearena.
Here boy. Here's a good boy. Are you a good hot rod? Yeah you're a good hot rod. You want a treat? Here boy... I tried. It didn't work. He's definitely your hot rod. And I'll be just one of many to say that it looks great. Badass. "Not a snowflake" Hahahaha...
PS- Your frame rails are in no way ugly... just different... because they're Mopar. If they looked like Ford frame rails they'd be Ford frame rails. And I assume you built the car how YOU like it. So I guess you don't need no stinkin' fenders or hood. LOL
When finished there will be 4" side pipes on the frame rails to get all that noise behind me. I did see a comment about the frame being ugly but they are straight as a string with no imperfections same quality as the body, there will always be haters
32 Ford frames are works of art. Thats a plus for them that Henry made them with the reveal along the sides. Does that mean that all other frame rails are ugly? I don't think so. It also doesn't mean that some hole filling ,cleaning and painting won't help some frames look nicer. Its a builders choice as to how they want their car to look.
I don't think the frame detracts, I think it adds to the hot rod feeling. "I took all that off, it was heavy and slowing me down"
The funny thing is it hardly spins the wheels, it just squats and goes forward. The back tires are super soft. If I was building a drag car it would never work that well I'm sure
