Well on second thought, to avoid controversy, there are no numbers such as 1 through 9 in the alphabet!

Reminds me of the fellow in New Hampshire that I sold a 1912 AC three wheeler to, he had a 26 car collection. One car with a name that matched every letter in the alphabet.

The alphabet is a numerical system.
The phonetic alphabet is a NATO alphabet.
The alphabet is Semitic proto-alphabet originally.
There are many language alphabets but ours is more common and is used for coding as numbers and letters.
Everything we have is a numerical system.
Language, Music, Math, Engineering, to name a few.

 

I just had to ask. Does Y represent the Yugo, or was that pile of shit never considered a car ? Asking for a friend.

As to the clarifications noted by @Flathead Dave, all that he has stated is correct !

The main idea of this particular thread, was to get fellow hamber's to participate, in a manner not often seen, as noted in the tags, listed with this thread.

I forgot all about Barney Oldfield, in the 999 racer.

 

Perhaps numbers aren't technically part of the "alphabet", but they are totally necessary for written communication. Hell, half your "user name" characters are numbers.

Good call on the user names that incorporate numbers and letters.
Mine is based upon my old 1941 G.M.C. K-18 Army signal corp Radio Panel van that I used to drive in High School.
I bought it when I was 17, it now lives in Bakersfield, at a museum awaiting to be restored.
