Actually the original “D” spoke design, was made of magnesium only ; to create a wheel with a zero to 1” negative offset. These were usually seen on the rear of early A/FX race cars. As I said in a prior post ; they were not made to clear disc brake calipers, like the subsequent aluminum version. 6CD538AD-EA0E-4301-9C70-C05FCCD347EB.jpeg 2AB030AD-9AF6-42AD-845F-1123059CF44E.jpeg

The latest TTO American Torq Thrust are made to look much like the 60's versions. The difference is they're cut for conical lug nuts, and the centers where the lugs are drilled for are a little smaller than the 60's versions were. But they did do a pretty good job of getting close to the old style.
I bought them for my latest build and got the as cast centers.

Either the original round spoke or the redesigned for 1965 pointy spoke, you just can’t beat the looks of genuine Americans: 2D5A8A6E-54E5-4C48-9A8A-E4BE829F1DAA.jpeg 34A045D7-F689-474C-9DDE-C6175BF9F21E.jpeg

  5. I have collected them for years. I am partial to the straight spoke only.

Very popular wheel and still available from American Racing. Can't go wrong with choosing a 5 spoke wheel design for your car.

I wonder if you could take a set of the new pointy spoke and sand the ridge off to make them look more correct?
    I need a set of 15x4.5 front runners for a T bucket ....

I prefer vintage and some knockoffs were great too. These Appliance 15x8 1/2s have a great look... 07.jpg 08.jpg
