Jigger, Bob, Mark, Robber, Moose, what a great way to start a Friday the 13th. Thanks to all of you for making my Fridays better. Later, Dick
After seeing the new Batman movie, which was way better than I thought it was going to be, I got a bit of inspiration and decided I would try to work on some Batman art. With so many versions of Batman there's many ways you can go, but I decided to try monster rodding the Adam West version of the character. When the t. v. series came out in 66 it was nuts, I loved it.
Hello, The unusual looking 1933 Willys pickup truck started showing up in the mid to late 1960’s. At 3100 lbs. despite being a 1000 lbs heavier than the 1940-41 Willys Coupes at 2058 lbs, the 33 Willys Trucks came into being its own performer in the Gas Coupe ranks all over the USA. But, the styling allowed customization for various versions for street usage. Shorten beds, hood tops, open sides, and of course, the lowered rake. By the time people discovered the Willys Pickup, fiberglass parts had been made and now showed a lighter weight race car. 1933 - 1936 WILLYS It even had straight rear edge doors to allow some custom treatment for turning them into suicide doors. For easier access into the seats that had to be pushed back as far as it would go in the cab. The physical size of the truck cab was much narrower and smaller... Jnaki All of the above at a 10% engine set back would have made the 33 Willys Truck a contender for the street legal Gas Coupe and Sedan classes. But, it was also a time when the street legal Gas Coupes and Sedans were now in their last stages as real street legal cars. The term street legal was stretching out the term with the inclusion of individual headers, front mounted Moon Tanks, and super wide racing slicks. Try to get those cars passed by the local DMV for licensing for real street legal hot rods. YRMV But, for the Batman... perhaps there is still a chance... @Vonzemo... nice !
We had a pin-up cowgirl for a model in our last studio Figure drawing session. I havn't drawn from a live model in decades. (Bad on me.)
Thank you Dick! Thank you Dan! Man, it is great to hear from you my friend. I was beginning to wonder if you were okay, it's been so long. Would love to see some of your pics here on the FAS!
