He has got a job waiting on him after graduation. He signed on with Wright Brothers Construction. They had a training class in partnership with the school and offered 6 people jobs. He will be driving the articulating dump truck in the background.

He will be gone for 11 days and home for 3. They are talking about sending him to Crossville Tennessee. They are moving a lot of dirt to build either a Formula 1 or Indycar track. I am unsure which one. 5A6B32FD-2874-4C13-9547-6B3CDC07C129.jpeg 029472DA-D815-4716-8E98-20A64A58CFE4.jpeg

Looks awesome! To quote my first girl friends father when his son put a sparkling new chrome air cleaner onto a dirty engine/into dirty engine bay, "looks like a diamond in a goats a** hole". :)

  12. I reckon, I don't have any upper rails. Everything was gone. I guess I'll have to make some when it comes down to it.

I figured since you were short on time you’d let them ride until later.

Quoting Gray Baskerville; "Totally Bitchin'. I like the direction this is taking. Paint and body, engine building, now upholstery. Damn Lloyd, you are the whole package. How many marriage proposals have you gotten from HAMBers?

Yea, we kid. But the truth is you have taken it from a total wreck to running so quickly we’re all kind of jealous. You are so lucky also to have such a talented wife. (You can tell her I said that too.) I have no doubt as time goes on you will fix some of the quickie things you had to do to get it going (like no 4 speed). I’m really digging the tail lights and interior. By the way 56,57&58 Chevy sedan deliverys and 59-60 El Caminos are my Holy Grail cars! Lucky bastard!

  28. We must be related down the line! The 57 wagon was a good car, I probably should've kept it, but it wasn't what I wanted. And I made the statement that I was gonna try to sell it and use the money to buy parts for the El camino, she didn't hesitate a second, she said "then do it". Now she's like "you could've put another engine in that 57 and that's all it needed!" Lmao! But I'm happier. I love this car, maybe once this new house is done I'll buy a set of US Indy slots for it. And she said thank you for the kind words, she's trying hard to learn the craft, there's no replacing experience, and she still runs into issues that she has to figure out on her own, but she gets better everyday.

  29. That makes 2 of us Lippy :D
