I'm looking for a crane sbc cylinder head it is stamped b202x on the front. Also I cannot find any info out there. Does someone have one or any info would be much appreciated
or just move the camera back a bit so we can see all of the end of the head. And the casting numbers (both sets) on the top of the head will help, too. I expect it's a double hump head that was worked for larger valves and ported
Crane started with ‘461 and then ‘462 castings, when Chevy produced a better casting then Crane upgraded their heads too. Expand the photo, you can see the pinned studs in these early heads. I wanted a set of Fireball heads for my ‘67 Nova in 1969, they just didn’t fit my budget
Not much help on the info, but I have talked with Gene Moody's brother Dale, and he says that those heads with the Algon injection made a big difference on Gene's '55 Chevy.
Ive got a NOS set of Crane Fireball 292 heads , still wrapped . I can take pics but unwrapping them is not something Id like to do . They may be accounted for . I forgot I had them along with a complete Kinsler injecsystem meant for the same motor which I never used . Still finding stuff from the mid to late seventies . Gary
