One of our club members who was big into customs passed and am trying to help his widow get things in order.
Out in his shed are these steel skirts, but have no idea what they fit. A front bumper is out there as well and I'm clueless to what that fits so thought I'd se what the brain trust says! 20220508_151227.jpg 20220508_151236.jpg 20220508_151238.jpg 20220508_151254.jpg 20220508_151458.jpg 20220508_151511.jpg

I believe the front bumper is from a '54 Mercury, those skirts were modified custom for something, you can see where some extra was welded onto the bottom. They don't necessarily "fit" anything, they're aftermarket, accessory cruiser skirts, but someone would still buy them if the price was right.

Looks like someone added lights to the bumper, but you nailed it. Any idea what these would be worth? Again, not a customs guy, just trying to help get her through this. Kind of a time warp seeing the cars he left behind. '57 Chevy, '54 Chevy, '65 El Camino, '68 Nova. I'll be going through these one at a time to get them roadworthy again so she can decide what to keep or not.

The skirts would be worth more if they hadn't been cut up/modified, but if you're willing to put them on eBay and ship them when they sell, and wait for a buyer, they'll bring an easy $300-$350 plus shipping. Locally, less.

Bumper really needs a scrubbing with an SOS pad and a polishing to see how bad the chrome is. Typically I would say SOS on a chrome bumper is a bad idea but this one is already pretty weak. If it cleaned up nice and someone wanted it it's also a $200-$300 item but as-is maybe $50 or $75 unless you find that perfect buyer. That bumper is gold to the right buyer who needs it, but that buyer is few and far between. If it's gotta go quick it's not going to bring a ton of money. Willingness to ship is also a huge factor in value.

The value difference between "I'm willing to clean this, list it on eBay and will ship it to whoever buys it, and I'm also willing to wait as long as it takes" vs "I want to put this on Facebook Marketplace and it needs to be gone in 2-3 weeks and local pickup only" is probably 3-1 or 4-1.
