  11. I think I see a pattern here that most of the comments are suggesting " 'rare' don't mean valuable".

Yeah. Not that rare. They're still available and reasonably priced at Home Depot.

I prefer a hood scoop that is well done, I don’t care for rare!

Any other info on the car ?
Are you looking for a scoop like this ?

If I had to guess, they cut the scoop down from something else.

Couple car shows where guys have remade bubble tops for customs - the best one I've seen to show the process was Ian Rousell Full Custom Garage. The overall size isn't bad, the depth would be challenging to do without getting too many distortion waves in the plexi.

  20. The car is just a random pic on pinterest, I would like to find a vintage scoop like this or make one

  21. My guess would be a clear cover for a fire extinguisher as seen in shopping malls and at gas stations or even in hospitals . You walk past them all the time but never notice.

You might be on to something. I couldn't match it exactly in a search, though. This one is close, or could be if judiciously cut, but it would only be 5" tall:

When I was in high school back in the late 70' s a classmate had a 66 Mustang with a clear scoop like that. It was cool seeing the two Holley 4 bbls on the tunnel ram underneath.

On the right era car one might look good.

If you think you can fool anyone into believing that scoop is cool, think again. They will see right through it....

They do make valve covers with tops that are visible so you can see thru them.
