might help your cause if you would give a little more info like what part of the country and when it was last seen...
Are you sure it's purple? Can't really tell from this picture. Or did you personally know this car at some time?
...Purple...it's a really nice Custom... Inspirations...why not...I felt a mix of Watson and Jeffries was applicable... Credit to All that Inspired This
That could be any kid's car in any part of this country back in the day. Good luck @Ward Coleman. We can be much more help if you tell us where the car was seen last. Where are you from Ward?
I'd think that that photo was taken in the late 50's or early 60's. I'd say that like most mild customs it's appearance changed a few more times over the years or it got beat to death by someone who bought it off the back row of a car lot cheap. You are probably a lot better off to just find a fairly decent 58 Ford Victoria and build your version of Grandpa's old car.
Agree, most customs don't age well, unless done very well up front and cared for very well along the way.
THANK YOU! You saved me the time looking for my copy. Fairly sure the '32 Roadster body was at a friends spot at Hershey 20-25 years ago. Bob
It was my Dad's car but sold it in the early 60's in Minnesota. Just came across all of the Trophies he won at different shows.
When you know the suttle differences between 57 and 58 it's pretty clear it's a 57 with what appears to be 58 Chevy dual headlights installed. You bet I'd drive it.
Those missing 97’s is one reason this has always been one of my favorite covers. Also it has always tripped my trigger, for a drag car to have a cool tow vehicle. I have been whoring this cover for along time. Oh yeah, what’s missing is the lower left corner , of the cover…(edit: Abe lugo…no shit Sherlock.)
