Technical lets see some 32 hood sides trimmed for lakes or header exits

  3. The original hoods are expensive and I kinda doubt there are too many guys cutting up originals any more, I'm sure there have been a lot of them cut up in the past, today if I were going to do that I would use a Rootlib hood. HRP

    Thanks, liking any & all, in particular Davey Jonez father did a great job on that sedan obviously with sufficient clearance to avoid blistering the paint......& I might say an interesting reflection in the hood as well !

    Thx! That car was built many years ago, not sure who did the work on the hood sides, but he really did a nice job. Paint has held up just fine for a long time.

    That is a slick job. Appears to be able to pull a few fasteners and open the hood for service.

    Thx, yes they designed the top section of the sides to come off w a few dzus fasteners for quick removal. Pretty neat setup.

    Use a Rootlieb hood top, but bend up aluminum hood sides!

    Have a one pc. & 2 pc. top & blank sides to choose from, couldn't bring myself to cut up original sides, all those louvers would make it beyond my skill level although I've seen something similar done before.
