My son and I built the car in the avatar. A great experience for his Dad and hopefully for him. I hope it is the same for you and your grandson. When the car was finished we did 9 states and 4,000 miles another once in lifetime experience.
Yes, the bracket sticks out like a sore thumb. Why not mount on top of the manifold with a fabbed up bracket like the original Olds piece?
I love what you're doing here, but that car deserves a generator or a Powergen with the Delco tag added on to it. That alternator looks like it came from an Alien Planet from a far off Galaxy! JMHO
Parking brake apparatus is close enough to order cables, too chicken to weld it. I’ll commit when the cables get here and it works.
I’m fabbing all this up using a porta band on a table, drill press, belt sander on a table, chop saw and a Miller welder. And hand grinders a press with home made dies. So once everything seems to work and not interfere with anything else, I’ll grind and shape things to be more palatable. Cheers all.
But it still hides your bitchin front motor mount. I’m a NorCal guy too, where did you take the body for blasting? Are they going to epoxy primer it too?
